My aspiration for this year, is to submit my recipe book, Latinize-It - Slow Food Cooked Fast, to literary agents throughout the country for representation and publishing. Latinize-It brings to the book store shelves a unique perspective on food preparation using the Western diet and Latinizing it to make if healthy and easy to prepare so that cooks around the country do not opt for unhealthy choices. My recipe book, Latinize-It, delivers slow food cooked fast recipes that take between 30-45 minutes from stove to table using whole foods local to your area. I will show you how to Latinize your pantry; whether it be Italian, French, Andean or Caribbean, you will have the ingredients and tools to dress up that meatloaf and mashed potatoes into something like a Jalisco turkey loaf stuffed with sweet potato and spinach. So when you wonder what to feed your family on Tuesday night, just flip through Latinize-It, and find the answer to your question. Aside from this large project, I continue to teach cooking classes at Olivelle and I can also be hired for private cooking classes, parties, and events. My small retail line is out in the larger local markets, farmer’s market and through special orders. This spring my new creation, Swagger, will be out in the market shelves. Loud, spicy and hip, this new condiment is a relish of sorts. Top your favorite sausage, pizza, or hamburger with Swagger, and watch yourself sway like a dude!
